This course at Illinois State University is a cross-listed under/graduate course that, during Summer 2011, enrolled upper-division publishing studies students and masters/PhD students in English Studies. I taught it completely online (behind a firewall to protect the discussion forums) using a Moodle install on my own server. Over four weeks, students completed a draft of a major grant: Undergraduates worked in groups on an NEA Art Works grant and an NEH Digital Humanities Start-Up grant; graduate students worked individually (but peer-reviewed in groups) on external grants and fellowship applications across English studies.
